Water Marbling.

Wow, I had some type of fun doing these! I used a water marbling techniques a friend of mine turned me on to.

I used white, a few different blues-I think 2, and a silver, all over a white base. 

Then after that was dry I topped it all off with a wonderful holo glitter-OMG I was in LOVE!

Can you blame me!?!?!?!? I wish there were more pictures, and I wish that I could have captured the beauty of this style, because these pictures are NOT doing them justice!  Hope you enjoy!

I saw nails very similar-but much better done in another lady's blog.

I wish I could give her credit...but I don't remember which blogger it was.

I'm telling you-her work was better, and her pictures were MUCH better! 

But this was my rendition. Not her standard-but still pretty darn good, I think!

A little smudgy here and there but  it'll do :-)

I enjoyed trying to do what she did-REALLY wishing I could link to hers....

Her's was super amazing! I think this was done in November or December of 2011.....

 LOL I'm not what you'd call a nail 'Guru' or anything like that. While I am creative-I am no artist....

I've seen nails on blogs and posts and the internet in general that make you cock your head to the side and say -WOW! Truly amazing works of art that will be removed and never replicated to that perfection again... 

To those who can make those amazing tiny works of art-My hat's off to you!

As you can see-these were done in December of 2011. My posting updates are just a 'tiny bit' late. I'm sorry the pictures aren't what you'd see from others, but they're the best I can do for now.

This is the best nail art I personally have done, and can't seem to come close again! :-) I have no clue what all I used either, so there is no how to list. Sorry for that, but any similar nail polishes and I'm sure you can get it. Hope you enjoyed!

Now if only I can get my pics uploaded here lmao...... OK So I CAN do my nails pretty well. Doesn't mean I always do. The nail polishes used in this look are Nail Tech formula 2 as my base. Then I did the whole nail-didn't get a pic- in Sinful Colors Neon Melon. Covered with Sinful Colors Call you later glitter or Nail Junkie glitter. After a day, I had to take it down to French tips-it was just too much for me :-) I did a horrid job at clean up around my cuticles....So don't send me to the fiery depths, I know it's not great. I was sloppy, and new I was re-doing them on Friday or Saturday. These Pics are from last Friday August 26th 2011. I hope you enjoy, and I hope it's not a copy of someone else's-if so my apologies! Like a Virgin

YAY! I found it-here it is. My first post-that I had lost :-)


This is my first blog. EVER. Please be kind. If you have an idea you'd like to share-go for it. I try to be a positive person. I love to do my nails-good bad or ugly-there's typically one to three coats on them...... I find alot of my inspiration on here-so while most of my nail art is my own, alot of it will have notes pulled from here and there. For example, I have been attempting a butterfly wing effect-unsuccessfully-that I saw on the internet. (I won't say what my son in law THOUGHT I was trying to pull off....) I may do a blog about that later. I do not plan on blogging daily-but I guess that would be the ultimate goal-all I'm saying is I'll come and go on here. I hope to find like minded individuals and new friends through here. I do not have a plethora of super nice expensive nail polishes-even though I sure do drool over them.......But I do have alot of nail polishes. I don't care if they are .50 or just $1.00 I don't label my polishes because of they're price. It's nails people-keep em nice, keep em healthy, and if you don't like the results of a design, or polish get rid of it, or thin it or just take it off your nails...Mix it up with a clear to get the texture you want.........I'm not a super serious person, but I'm a stickler for manners-ask my kids or their friends (I'm the 'mean mom')........I'm by no means a neat freak-at all-but I'm not dirty-I'm funny about hygiene too lol. You will come to find I have MANY little quirks.......A machine gun laugh (one of a million and one laughs in my repetior) A sense of humor, mothering ways, sincerity, help everyone before myself kind of person. I do know my limits (or like to think I do) and doing my nails is my way of pampering me. Doing my makeup is just fun time though ;-) So in short, please be patient with me as I figure all of this out, as I am not technologically inclined either lol.

Irene-the Hurricane of 2011 that's pending. I've never been through one. No that's not completely true. I was here for a tiny one that didn't even touch down several years ago. I slept through it. Literally. So did my son(Brian). I was a little scared due to all of the hype from the media-that and I didn't know Pernell (husband) then. He has weather related connections through work...... So in short- if we're going down-I don't wanna know what hit's us. I just want it to be quick and as peaceful as possible. If a natural disaster is going to take mine or my family's life/lives-I'd like to think as little emotional stress and physical pain was inflicted as possible. Cause when God decided to take us-He decides-not us.

I still feel like sleeping through it this time. But I know that will not be an option. With seven (yep count em-7) dogs, and Eleven year old, four adults full time in my home, not to mention any other family that comes to our home for refuge- sleeping through it will not be an option this year. In the years to come, it will not be an option either. SO-my resolve:

I will cook for my family through this. I will do unwanted hateful chores of cleaning. I will plan games. I will DO MY NAILS-and take pictures to show you :-)

Well we're on to try number two. I'd say "this is my first Blog EVER", but that would be untrue. I just wrote edited, re edited and tried to post my first Blog. Funny thing happened-I lost it! I can't even go to my 'history' to try to find it. SMH if that's any indication of how this is going to go-we're in for a bumpy ride folks! Hope you like roller coasters-cause that's what I am. I am an old fashioned girl with newer world views....The creativity often gets stifled, but that's due to my own mental blocks. I love to find inspiration here on the internet. I'm not (by FAR) the 'most creative' person you will meet, but I'm not bland.

 I'm a chubby lady who loves to do her nails and play in my makeup. Period. I've been told I care more about my makeup and nails then I do about 'real life'.....Well-I'll have that person know-SO NOT TRUE! :-) I love my real life, and since I can't afford the rock star lifestyle - and since I have no place to get dressed up for-I WILL express myself through my nails and makeup. I like to look nice for my family-especially the ones that I don't get to see often. So  if they are coming over or I'm going out, I like to look decent. Can I spend three hours to make my makeup look like it's not even there-YES. DO I take three hours to make my makeup look good-HELL NO! So there it is.

        I'll take the time more for my nails then my makeup really. Yet my nails - OK my polishing and art skills - are lacking. They aren't 'bad' but they aren't jaw dropping gorgeous either. So there it is-I'm not retyping ALL that I wrote last time-cause I can't remember it all! But I'm a generally good person, who makes time for others when they need or want me too-I just need a day or two's notice-PLEASE GIVE ME NOTICE! I'm not on any set schedule or routine, but I love to have advance warning! I have a plethora of quirks-one for every shade in the nail polish rack.....and I tend to write alot when I write, more then I plan on. Either way, love me or hate me, I don't mind. But I'd love it if ya loved me! :-) I hope you enjoy...
